Thoughtful-Thursdays- Mother

This poem was written by my Great Grandfather who loved his Mother and his wife dearly and expressed it so beautifully in this peom.  There is a middle section which reads ".... He taught them to sing. He gave us Seasons, in order they roll-- The Autumn, the Winter, Perfecting the whole. All Nature declaring His Glory and Power, With the Sweet Singing Bird, And the Blossoming Flower... But the choicest Gifts..." 

We celebrated Mother's Day this yesterday and as I reflect on Mothers, I am so grateful for not only my own beautiful, sweet and incredible Mother, but for all of the women who have molded, shaped and been great examples to my family. 

Women today have so many roles, responsibilities, expectations they put upon themselves and YOU are more than enough! You are beautiful, strong & courageous, and every little tiny thing you do makes a difference. Those little hugs & kisses, a quick text of "how are you doing?" to a child or friend, the smile given to a stranger, the dinner taken over to a neighbor, singing a song to a child at night, the couple of dollars you give to someone less fortunate... all of these little things add up and make a positive difference! Thank You for showing love and kindness in your own little way!
